Congratulations to the Fox Point East Side Little League 10U Allstar team for placing second in their division in the First Annual Rumford Little League Wounded Warrior Tournament.  Our team was undefeated through pool play, beating Allstar teams from Rumford and East Providence Central.  They made it to championship game in dramatic fashion, beating the Riverside Allstar team in a 4-3 walkoff victory.   Although the team lost 3-1 to the Pineview Little League Allstar team in the championship game, by all accounts they left it all out on the field and represented our league well, both through their play and through their sportsmanship.  Congratulations to manager Lee Wesner and coaches Otis Warren and Brad Walter.

As a league, we also want to acknowledge and thank Rumford Little League and their President Ed Wencis for hosting this awesome tournament to raise funds for the Wounded Warrior Project.  The WWP is a charitable organization serving veterans and service members who incurred a physical or mental injury, illness, or wound while serving in the military on or after September 11, 2001.   If you are interested in donating to the Wounded Warrior project, please click HERE.
